Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) is a lightweight material that was used mostly in flat roofing, but also in floors and walls, between the 1950s and 1990s. The material has a limited lifespan of around 30 years and its structural behaviour differs significantly from traditional reinforced concrete.

Having been appointed by the Court as Expert Witness on numerous claims and disputes, our Surveyors have built up extensive experience, appointed by the Court to represent both Landlords and Tenants as a Single or Joint Expert Witness. This includes Trials at The Royal Courts of Justice.

Our Surveyors act for Building Owners and Adjoining Owners, fulfilling the duties of a Party Wall Surveyor under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 (“the Act”).

MM Building Surveyors are qualified and licenced to pilot drones, which is of great benefit during inspections of high-level areas where access is limited.
